Rashid Salleh is a Man of All Seasons being an experienced actor, comedian, director, presenter, MC, Voice Over Artist, Producer and Writer amongst his trade in the entertainment industry.
In a career spanning almost 3 decades, he has performed in theatre, television, film, sports TV broadcasting and various social media platforms.
On Stage, he appeared in various roles including theatre plays such No Exit, Merchant of Venice and The Two Of Us amongst others
On Screen, he was part of a successful cast of the local Malaysian English TV sitcom KOPITIAM that was on air for 7 seasons which received an award at the 1998 Asian Television Awards for Best Comedy Programme. He has also appeared in other sitcoms (All Mixed Up, 2+1.com.my, Spanar Jaya etc.) telemovies (Tollgate Girl etc.) and drama series (Tarantula X etc.).
He has been nominated in several local television awards and in Film, he received the nomination for Best Actor in a supporting role in the film WARIS JARI HANTU at the 2007 Malaysian Film Festival Award. His other Film credits include Soalnya Siapa, Mr. Cinderella 2, Sangkar, Fanna etc.
As a TV director, he has helmed several programmes, including Gelak Gempak, Astro Warna's first ever Stand Up reality TV show. He has also directed the first ever Iban language sitcom, TEMBAWAI KANYUK, which was first aired on TVS (TV Sarawak) on June 1st 2022, which also garnered high ratings. He has even directed, acted and the head scriptwriter for another TV sitcom on TVS, titled Belon Angkasa!
As a TV Presenter, he was part of the THE BREAKFAST SHOW on ntv7, a live morning talk show aired daily on week days for several years and hosted on a number of other TV series for various channels in both Malaysia and Singapore.
In Sports TV Broadcasting, he is a former sportscaster for ESPN’s anchor programme, SportsCenter Asia and Malaysia. He was a presenter on ASTRO ARENA, Malaysia’s first Bahasa Malaysia’s 24-hour sports channel as well as a stint with FOX SPORTS ASIA hosting the 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup Football Tournament.
He has also appeared in several TV commercials in the past, namely KFC, Sony DVD, MTDC amongst others.
On the International Front, he previously worked as the International TV Media coordinator as part of the Creative Activities Unit of the Office of the President of Timor-Leste.
He is an also an experienced Master of Ceremonies, having hosted various events around the globe.
Currently, he continues to spend his time behind the scenes in TV and is the Managing Director at Rashomon PR Sdn Bhd, a company which provides integrated Public Relations, Production and Post Production services based in Kuching, Sarawak.
